The Oklahoma Sooners have gone from 6-7 in Brent Venables’ first season to 6-0 at the halfway point of 2023, but just how much better is this team than last year’s? Kegan Reneau of RPM Data spends his time digging into advanced metrics in football, and he joined The Todd Pod to talk about what those metrics say about the Sooners chances to make the CFP and Dillon Gabriel’s chances of being a Heisman finalist in NYC. Kegan and I also discuss the place where Oklahoma needs to improve the most to maximize their results and we tackle the role of data and analytics in sports, especially football.
